Ok, so I have known about this punk band called SHARKS for quite some time now. I haven’t written about them here for one main reason: they are VERY under the radar at this point. They don’t even have a physical product on the street. They are unsigned (listen to the tunes…it is hard to believe!).
I found out about them on The BBC Radio 1 Punk Show. Now, I have been preaching the merits of this show FOR YEARS so if you haven’t been listening…you HAVE to get on it. The band was on Mike Davies’ show some time back with some rumblings that they might be getting signed to a label, but aside from that I hadn’t heard from them in a long time.
I decided to check back in on the band tonight. The band’s old MySpace page had moved, thus, I shuffled on over to SharksUK. The layout and tunes looked familiar, but it was one of the blog posts that caught my eye: the songs featured on the MySpace page could be downloaded for free! So…GO DOWNLOAD ‘EM ALREADY DAMMIT!
